LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Scattered showers, few storms and hot temperatures Thursday afternoon and evening on the South Plains. Most of the rain will decrease late in the evening with a slight chance of showers lingering through Friday morning.
The chances of rain will be low on Friday through the weekend and early next week.
As rain chances decrease over the next few days the afternoon temperatures will be on the increase for all west Texas through Sunday. Beginning Friday afternoon temps will move to the upper 90s and by Sunday we may see some 100-degree temperatures on the South Plains.
