OZARK, Mo. — Construction began on a new pedestrian bridge over U.S. Highway 65 on Thursday morning.
The City of Ozark held a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, July 17, to mark the start of Phase 4 of the Chadwick Flyer Trail project, a developing 12-mile regional trail corridor aiming to connect downtown Springfield to the Ozark Community Center along the Chadwick Flyer railroad bed.
Phase 4 includes the construction of the Chadwick Flyer pedestrian bridge over Highway 65 and around 7,000 feet of new trail. The project would ultimately unify the trail corridor and link Ozark and Springfield for walkers, cyclists and more upon its completion…
