Multiple fire agencies respond to 2-acre brush fire in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. — A fast moving brush fire in Eugene shut down traffic from Prairie Road to River Road in Eugene on Tuesday.

According to the Lane Fire Authority (LFA), the brush fire was around 2 acres in size.

With the recent high temperatures in Oregon, the fire authority says fire danger remains high across the state.

Firefighters, with the assistance of several other fire agencies, were able to extinguish the blaze. While crews worked on attacking the fire, authorities from the Lane County Sheriff’s Office and the Eugene Police Department were on scene to help assist with traffic during the road closures.
