Daily forecast | From First Alert Meteorologist Tim Strong

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – An upper level ridge will develop over the region today into this weekend bringing us above average temperatures.

Upper level ridging will dominate our weather pattern into the weekend with high temperatures in the upper 90s and heat indices 104-108 each afternoon. High pressure should start to build into the region at the surface and limit storm coverage. An isolated shower or storm is still possible each day. Summer storms can quickly pulse up and produce heavy rain, lightning, and brief strong wind, so stay weather aware for any outdoor plans.

It will be a little breezy this weekend with southwest wind steady between 10-15 mph and gusts near 20 mph during the day…
