MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Additional layoffs will be on the horizon for several companies in the Triangle area, including a tech giant with a major presence in North Carolina.
Lenovo, the Chinese computer manufacturer with dual headquarters in Beijing and Morrisville, confirmed on Wednesday that the company will undergo major changes, involving 3% of its full-time workforce in the U.S.
“Like all businesses, we regularly review our cost structure to align with external market dynamics and make workforce adjustments where necessary,” Lenovo spokesperson David Hamilton shared in a statement to CBS 17. “We are currently making strategic reductions in some parts of our North America business and will continue to invest and focus on initiatives that accelerate the growth and the overall transformation of the company.”…
