Pegram: An ‘artsy’ community in Cheatham County with neighborly charm

PEGRAM, Tenn. (WKRN) — Right off of Highway 70 in the small town of Pegram, an artist’s paradise.

Sharon Ingram is an artist and owns Mud Puddle Pottery Studio and its adjacent art gallery with her husband. They made the move west from Nashville and opened up shop in Pegram in 2004.

Cheatham Dam provides commerce and recreation

“It’s such an artsy group of residents. Both Kingston Springs and Pegram have so many musical arts, visual art, arts folks here,” Sharon Ingram said. “It’s just a great area; it really is. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I absolutely love it here.”

People come from all over Middle Tennessee to take classes such as pottery wheel, handbuilding, sculpture and jewelry…
