Centerville council okays $50 daily fee for property violations

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Centerville City Council approved a new $50 daily fee for unresolved property violations. This fee is meant to encourage people to upkeep their properties.

“This is not about collecting money, it is about getting issues fixed quickly,” said Development Director Erik Collins. “We are focused on protecting our neighborhoods and making sure Centerville stays clean, safe and well-maintained.”

  • Centerville can also now charge a property owner a $100 administrative fee when the City has to step in to correct a violation.
