Grand Rapids African American Museum’s new space ‘icing on the cake,’ leaders say

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A museum in Grand Rapids is getting a massive upgrade.

The Grand Rapids African American Museum & Archives, known as GRAAMA, announced Wednesday that it will be moving locations.

It’s a multimillion-dollar acquisition that will relocate its building from Monroe Avenue to a building off Sheldon Avenue. That property used to be Compass College of Film and Media
