A 14-year-old boy is currently being held at the Kent County Juvenile Detention Center following an armed robbery at a Dollar General store in Wyoming. According to information released by the Wyoming Police Department, the incident occurred on Monday at approximately 1:35 p.m. at the location 1550 28th Street SW. As reported by FOX 17, the teen suspect entered the store wearing a mask and gloves, brandished a handgun, and demanded money from the register before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Following the robbery, the police initiated an investigation that led them to a residence in Grand Rapids. At around 8:30 p.m. on the same day, the young suspect was arrested. The weapon used during a robbery was also recovered, though details of its recovery were not specified, as per a report by WZZM 13. No individuals were harmed during the event.
