Shoplifter arrested in Irvine on theft and drug charges

On Saturday, license plate readers flagged a known shoplifter, and then Pavilions reported someone ran out with almost $1,000 in wine bottles, according to the Irvine Police Department.

The responding police officers found her at Target swapping price tags with the skill of a sommelier. Her car was a complex blend of stolen wine, stolen IDs, and a dash of methamphetamine to cleanse the palate.
