Escaped inmate found hiding in attic of Montgomery County home

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — An escaped inmate from Louisville was arrested in Montgomery County after being discovered in an attic.

The sheriff’s office announced on Thursday that Jacob Darbyshire, 26, was apprehended in a home in Jeffersonville.

Deputies forced their way inside the home, where they found him hiding in the attic.

Records show Darbyshire was serving a 10-year sentence and was not due to be released until 2031. He now faces an additional charge of second-degree escape…
