THP Boosts Road Rage Enforcement in Rutherford County with More Troopers, Unmarked Patrol Cars

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WGNS) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol has expanded its efforts to reduce road rage and improve traffic safety in Rutherford County and statewide, by increasing manpower and deploying new enforcement tactics.

More than 300 new state troopers have been added across Tennessee in response to growing traffic demands and population increases. The agency says it is also holding additional trooper and dispatcher academies to ensure faster response times and more thorough coverage.

To combat aggressive and dangerous driving, the Highway Patrol has introduced unmarked vehicles specifically targeting road rage, impaired driving, distracted driving, and excessive speeding.
