2 charged in Chelmsford retail return scheme

CHELMSFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — Police have arrested a Brockton man and a Johnston woman accused of making more than $46,000 worth of fraudulent returns at a Chelmsford store over the course of several months.

Dara Iantuono, 44, has been charged with organized retail crime and accessory before the fact of larceny over $1,200. John Grogan, 54, was charged with larceny of over $1,300 by false pretenses.

Chelmsford Police Chief Colin Spence said the investigation began back in June, when the department was asked to look into “a pattern of fraudulent returns” at the TJ Maxx in town…
