ELKTON — A man remained jailed Thursday morning after he allegedly shot a firearm while parked behind a Cecil County Sheriff’s Office deputy along a road near Elkton — leading to a search in which investigators confiscated a loaded handgun, according to police.
Investigators identified the suspect as Daquan Edward Bateman, 24, of Claymont, Del.
As part of the ongoing investigation, detectives are trying to determine which direction Bateman was pointing the gun when he allegedly fired the round from inside his vehicle, according to Lt.
