El Paso Father-son allegedly caught on camera dumping waste in the desert

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A father and his teenage son turned themselves to El Paso authorities Tuesday after reportedly being caught on camera dumping trash in the desert.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, 41-year-old Mario Hernandez and his 17-year-old son Derek Hernandez surrendered to deputies after they were reportedly identified as the suspects in photographs that caught two people dumping approximately 12 cubic feet of waste in a deserted area near Montana Vista on July 4.
