Tropical Disturbance in Gulf has 30% chance of development

HOUSTON (KIAH) – UPDATE: As of 7:00 a.m. – The National Weather Center (NHC) issued said that a broad area of low pressure is in the far northern Gulf just off of the coast of Alabama with storm activity located to the west of the center.

This Disturbance disorganization is consistent and has limited time before it moves inland later Thursday in Louisiana. So the NHC has decreased its probabilities of becoming a tropical depression down to 30%. Regardless of whether or not it becomes a tropical depression, Southeast Texas will have increasing chances of rain due to the surge of tropical moisture late tonight through early Saturday.
