‘Bike the Moose’ returns to Anchorage for scenic 32-mile ride

Anchorage cyclists are gearing up for a unique adventure this weekend as Bike the Moose returns for another year. The annual 32-mile ride along the Moose Loop offers participants the chance to experience Alaska’s wilderness right from the city’s trail system — all while supporting a good cause.

The route connects a series of trails that form the outline of a giant moose, winding through Anchorage’s urban greenbelts and parklands.

“These are really unique to Anchorage, and it’s something that’s really special about our city,” said Alexa Dobson with Bike Anchorage. “We have these urban greenbelt trails, and people can get from point A to point B in these beautiful, semi-wild feeling environments.”…
