BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — “Do Not Cross” tape and Bakersfield police cars. Bright lights and loud sirens, and police officers scoping a deadly scene. Residents say they’ve never seen anything like it in their neighborhood.
“Here, you rarely get the cops called on anybody, or any problems,” said neighbor Erica Hernandez.
That peace turned upside down with the stabbing death of 54-year-old Gabriela Flores Rodriguez. Police arrested 50-year-old Derrick Williams shortly after and a weapon was seized from his home.
