County still working to relocate displaced mobile home residents kicked out by RZ
In Wednesday’s meeting, the Greene County Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of a significant rezoning request that will pave the way for future commercial development along the Route 29/33 corridor in Ruckersville.
The commission green-lighted a proposal from Route 33 Holdings, LLC to rezone 18.55 acres – converting 0.29 acres from R-2 (Residential) to B-2 (General Business) and 6.14 acres from R-2 to B-3 (Highway Business).
According to the county’s future land use map, these parcels are designated as “Mixed Use Residential”, aligning with the vision outlined in the Greene County Comprehensive Plan to promote growth in the Ruckersville area…
