Mikey’s Late Night Slice to open new central Ohio, Dayton locations

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Mikey’s Late Night Slice, the Columbus pizza empire known for New York-style pies, is expanding with two new Ohio locations, including inside an upcoming Polaris Fashion Place development.

The pizza chain announced on Wednesday it will open in 2026 at The Galaxy at Polaris, a mixed-use development that will be home to more than 600 apartments and 130,000 square feet of commercial space once completed. The complex, which was awarded more than $7 million in Ohio tax credits this year, is being built on a 30-acre site on the east side of Polaris.

“Our goal with The Galaxy project is to bring the best of class in restaurants, especially local favorites like Mikey’s to a suburban location that is yearning for organically grown restaurants,” said Franz Geiger, managing director of N.P. Limited Partnership, Polaris’ developer. “The Galaxy will be an entertainment hub for Polaris and central Ohio.”

Mikey’s is also opening in Dayton later this year with a new Water Street District eatery in the former Local Cantina space across from Day Air Ballpark. Crawford Hoying, a co-developer of Water Street, celebrated the pizza brand’s announcement and boasted the district as ” rapidly growing into an entertainment hub for downtown Dayton.”

“Mikey’s will be a wonderful complement to the vibrant establishments located within the district, including the recently opened Pins Mechanical Co., Foundry rooftop at the AC Hotel and Day Air Ballpark,” said Zach Graham, senior vice president of commercial real estate and leasing at Crawford Hoying.
