GREENSBORO, N.C. — This is the big question: Was your 2024 city home property tax higher than your 2021 city home property tax? If yes, you may receive a check for the difference.
The City of Greensboro’s Low-Income Homeowners Assistance Program was enacted three years ago by the city council to help alleviate increases during the tax revaluation. Last year, 245 homeowners got reimbursement checks.
“Last year, the average amount of assistance was a little over $200, so the minimum assistance that we can provide is $50. There is no maximum.
