Overnight incident leads to petit theft charges, authorities release surveillance video.
LAKELAND, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an unknown male suspect responsible for stealing fuel from a work truck in Lakeland. The incident, classified as petit theft, occurred during the overnight hours of June 26, 2025, at a business located at 8740 US 98 N.
According to PCSO, the suspect trespassed onto private property and siphoned fuel from a vehicle. Surveillance video captured images of the individual involved in the crime.
