‘A True Hero’: Tributes Pour in for Officer Who Died Saving Family

Tributes have poured in for Chase Childers, the former Cobb police officer who died last weekend after saving a family caught in a rip current on Pawleys Island in South Carolina.

Childers, 38, was unable to stay above water and was swept away in the rip current in the midst of the rescue, according to a GoFundMe page dedicated to his family.
