The word “cirque” is French for circus, and when you think of the circus, you probably think of clowns, people getting shot out of a cannon, motorcycles in a cage, and acrobats. However, from what I have noticed, shows that bill themselves as “cirque” instead of “circus” tend to be a bit more immersive and themed, rather than traditional “big top circus,” if that makes any sense.
Paranormal Cirque Heading to Kentucky
Paranormal Cirque is put on by Cirque Italia, which is described as a European-style performance bringing a “vivid, dramatic, and moving experience under a customized traveling tent.” They have different themed shows, and the one that’s heading to Louisville is for mature audiences only.
An Adults-Only Horror-Filled Cirque Show
Paranormal Cirque will be setting up their massive, hellish-looking black and red big top tent at the Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville for six shows from Friday, August 15th to Monday, August 18th.
The big top tent may look familiar, and that’s because a few years ago, Paranormal Cirque brought their show to Evansville. According to the website, they have a few different versions of the Paranormal Cirque show so it’s likely going to be different than what came here a few years ago.
However, this is not a family-friendly circus; they have a massive warning on their website that this show is for mature audiences only, and they won’t even allow anyone under 13 inside the tent.
