Protests honor John Lewis legacy nationwide+ in Chickasaw, Pensacola, Fairhope

CHICKASAW, Ala. (WPMI) — Across the nation, people gathered Thursday for protests under the banner “Good Trouble Lives On,” a tribute to the late U.S. Representative and civil rights activist John Lewis. Lewis famously urged Americans to “get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America.”

In Chickasaw, demonstrators assembled on the West Lee Street Bridge, displaying their signs to drivers passing by on I-65.
