Virginia Capital Trail expansion will connect Jamestown High School to Colonial Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) – The Capital Trail is expanding!

The Virginia Capital Trail Foundation (VCTF) made the exciting announcement Thursday that the trail is growing approximately 7.5 miles. The expansion will connect Jamestown High School to South England Street, in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg.

“Expanding the Trail to Williamsburg has long been a priority, and this partnership brings that vision within reach. It not only strengthens our ability to deliver a high-quality trail experience, but also moves us closer to creating a fully connected network linking Richmond to Hampton Roads.”

The expansion is being made possible through a collaboration with the Tidewater Trails Alliance (TTA).
