PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities are searching for a suspect allegedly involved in a fatal daytime shooting that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man in North Philadelphia earlier this month.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, officers from the 26th District responded to reports of gunfire around 2:23 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, in the 2400 block of North Reese Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Donald Jeffers, a resident of the 3000 block of Reese Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Jeffers was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:01 p.m.
Following an initial investigation, homicide detectives arrested 43-year-old Arron J. Taylor of East Sedgley Street.
