PROVIDENCE — A Providence man was arrested Tuesday on charges related to an alleged scheme involving fraud and the exploitation of an elderly individual, according to Rhode Island State Police.
On July 15, 2025, members of the Financial Crimes Unit and troopers from the Lincoln Barracks arrested 28-year-old Thomas O’Reilly of 768 Manton Avenue, Providence. O’Reilly was charged with conspiracy to obtain property by false pretenses and conspiracy to exploit an elder.
Following his arrest, O’Reilly was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace. Bail was set at $200,000 with surety.
