Rhode Island State Police Arrest Providence Man Following Crash on Route 6

JOHNSTON — A Providence man was arrested early Wednesday morning following a motor vehicle crash on Route 6 and is facing multiple charges related to driving with a suspended license.

On July 16, 2025, at approximately 6:44 a.m., Rhode Island State Police troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the Town of Johnston. During the course of their investigation, troopers identified the driver as 23-year-old Stephen Taylor III of 27 Greeley Street, Floor 1, Providence.

Taylor was taken into custody on an active Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pre-trial conference.
