Sacramento Police and ATF Seize Drugs, Firearms in Successful Sting Operation

The Sacramento Police Department has disclosed the outcomes of a collaborative operation with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, aiming to hinder street-level drug activities in the city’s central areas. The sting, spread across a five-week period, concluded with multiple arrests and significant drug seizures.

From April 23 to May 30, the Central Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) a temporary task force, was responsible for approximately 24 arrests, with expectations of more to come. In their haul, officers confiscated over 2,700 grams of cocaine, 6,000 fentanyl pills, and significant amounts of other controlled substances including heroin, ketamine, ecstasy, and methamphetamine among others, according to a social media post by the Sacramento Police Department.
