Cotati celebrated their 32nd Annual Cotati Kids Day Parade and Festival this past Saturday and it was a ROARing good time! The theme this year was “Dino-MIGHT Cotati!” and they celebrated all things dinosaur or prehistoric.
The day started with a free pancake breakfast at the Church of the Oaks while the crowd got settled throughout downtown to watch the parade. The annual parade, which allows for anyone to participate, had a variety of participants, including strollers walked by parents, businesses, families, non-profit organizations, and school clubs and teams. Highlights included several inflatable t-rex costumes, a yoga performance in the street, a Recology garbage truck, Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District fire truck, Dolly, the Cotati Police Department’s K9 Officer, and even a child’s accordion performance.
Several hundred spectators gathered throughout downtown to watch the parade as close to 200 people strutted their stuff from City Hall to La Plaza Park, where the parade ended and the festival began.
