Wilmington Police Arrest Wanted Man, Recoer Loaded Handgun

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested an 18-year-old man following the recovery of a loaded firearm during a patrol response earlier this week.

According to officials, members of the Wilmington Police Department’s Crime Gun Intelligence Center and the Safe Streets Task Force responded to a report of an individual armed with a gun in the 200 block of North Dupont Street on July 15 at approximately 12:53 p.m. Upon arrival, officers encountered Sameer Bolden, 18, and allegedly found him in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.

Authorities further stated that Bolden was wanted in connection with an unrelated matter at the time of the encounter. He was subsequently taken into custody without reported incident.

Following his arrest, Bolden was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 20 and later released after posting $2,500 secured bail…
