The Cirque Italia water circus will visit Toledo Speedway this weekend for several shows. The troupe, featuring performers from around the world, will include master jugglers, low wire fanatics, dazzling contortion, wild trampoline antics, and even a wheel of death in classic circus fashion. A narrative will chronicle how a 1950s-obsessed adolescent falls asleep and dreams of living in that decade. Performances will take place across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the speedway, which is located at 5639 Benore Rd. in Toledo. Visit gold.cirqueitalia.com for more details and for tickets.
Bill Bellamy will visit Perrysburg’s Funny Bone comedy club on Friday and Saturday. A veteran stand up comic, Bellamy came to prominence on the Def Comedy Jam on HBO in the 1990s, where he is sometimes credited with coining the phrase “booty call.” He was also a major presence during the heyday of MTV, hosting the first year of MTV Beach House and appearing across TV and movies in projects like Kindergarten Cop 2 and Any Given Sunday. Bellamy is scheduled for four sets, Friday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. and Saturday at 6:30 and 9 p.m. For tickets visit toledo.funnybone.com/shows.
