CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A dramatic felony stop at a McDonald’s parking lot this week is just one example of how new technology is helping Nueces County deputies crack down on stolen vehicles.

Body camera video shows deputies with guns drawn, taking down the driver of a stolen car just after 5 a.m. on a weekday morning.

“Lucky for us, it was at 5 in the morning in the parking lot of McDonald’s, as opposed to 5 PM in the parking lot of McDonald’s,” said Captain Roland Martinez with the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office…
