Ysleta school district implements new cellphone ban in compliance with Texas law

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The Ysleta school district outlined how it will followed the Texas law that bans cellphones during class hours in public schools.

According to a letter sent to parents and guardians, the Ysleta Independent School District said that:

Beginning Monday July 28, YISD students will NOT be allowed to use cellphones, tablets, smartwatches, or any other devices capable of telecommunications or digital communication while on school grounds during school hours. This includes devices such as Meta AI Glasses, Apple Watch, etc…
