LUBBOCK COUNTY, Texas— The Lubbock Sheriff’s Office contacted the initial caller of a reported gunshot wound report and confirmed that no one had been shot or injured.
In a statement from the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, they addressed the false report as follows:
At approximately 1945, the Lubbock County Sheriff’s office received a 911 call. The caller stated they had been shot and provided an address. Deputies responded to the address provided but did not locate the caller. Dispatch was able to provide an alternative address in the 11600 block of N C R 1900. …
