ROCKFORD — After nearly three decades of charging gamers a nickel, a Rockford arcade steeped in nostalgia starts a new era today.
NickelWorld reopens today at 3321 N. Main St. as QuarterWorld for the first time.
Owner Kim Hachmeister had long held off on the switch, even as prices rose on products everywhere else, in order to keep her variety of classic arcade and ticket redemption video games as economical as possible.
