2 men charged with vandalizing ATMs across Washington to steal cash during repairs

SEATTLE Wash. (KPTV) – Two men are facing charges in Seattle after allegedly vandalizing multiple ATMs across Washington in a robbery scheme, including two locations in Clark County, according to the Acting U.S. Attorney – Western District of Washington.

On Thursday, 22-year-old Ahmon Hogg of Humble, Texas, and 23-year-old Seth Coles-Body of Houston, Texas, both appeared in U.S. District Court in Seattle, where they are charged with conspiring to steal from banks by assaulting and threatening ATM technicians.

According to the acting U.S. attorney, the men would allegedly use a “glue-like substance” to make the ATM card reader stop working. Then, when a technician would show up to fix the machine, they would threaten the technician to give them the cash containers, called cassettes, from the ATM…
