Huntersville and Concord Firefighters Swiftly Rescue Entrapped Driver After High-Speed Collision with Tree

Early this morning, just as the sun hinted its first light, Huntersville firefighters responded to an urgent situation. Units from Stations 1, 3, and Concord’s Station 10 were dispatched to a scene of vehicular destruction in the 15900 Block of Poplar Tent Church Road.

Huntersville Fire Department reported that Engine 3 was swiftly on the scene, their crew ready to carefully, yet quickly, extricate the driver. They had to use their tools to remove steadily the driver’s door, a barrier once meant for protection turned into a restraint by the crash’s violent dance. Once freed, the driver was transferred into the waiting embrace of MEDIC for transport, their condition a testament to the impact’s severity. “Our Engine 3 arrived first with an F150 in the front yard of a home. The driver was entrapped in the drivers seat after striking a tree at a high speed. E3 extricated the driver by removing the drivers’ door,” Hunterville Fire Department describes the situation.
