GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – The Gainesville City Commissioners are looking into the increase in property taxes next year by as much as 15%.
City Commissioners voted to set a maximum proposed millage rate of about 6.89 mills, which is about 14.96 % higher than if taxpayers were to pay the same in property tax bill next year.
