‘Don’t lie for another guy’: ATF launches anti-gun trafficking campaign in South Florida

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Miami Field Division, along with other South Florida and nationally based organizations will launch a month-long public education campaign to shed light on stiffer penalties facing individuals convicted of unlawful firearm purchases.

The ATF will be teaming up with the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Southern District of Florida, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and the National Shooting Sports Foundation to host the public education campaign.

South Florida was one of the areas chosen for the campaign by ATF as they along with organizations across the area want to spread awareness on the seriousness and consequences of illegally purchasing a firearm for someone who cannot purchase a firearm themselves…
