County Commissioner Michael Wrather Resigns; Process to Fill Vacancy Underway

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) — Rutherford County District 3 Commissioner Michael Wrather officially submitted his resignation, effective this Friday, marking the end of his service on the County Commission after nearly seven years.

Wrather, who was elected in 2018, has played a key role in several county initiatives, including the construction of public safety and health buildings and the development of two new schools. He also served on the Public Safety Committee as vice chair and was recognized for his contributions toward managing growth and infrastructure in both District 3 and across Rutherford County.
