Murfreesboro, TN – After a four-year hiatus, the Murfreesboro Police Department is proudly bringing back National Night Out, an event that invites residents of all ages to come together for an evening of connection, celebration, and public safety awareness. The event is set for 5:30-7:30PM Tuesday night (Aug. 5, 2025) at Oaklands Park, 427 Roberts Street in Murfreesboro. This free, family-friendly gathering is a chance for neighbors to build stronger relationships with the officers who serve their community. Local partners including the City of Murfreesboro Parks & Recreation Department.
One of the highlights of the night will be the popular Touch-A-Truck event, where kids and families can explore police vehicles, emergency trucks, and other equipment up close. Plus, community games and surprises are planned to keep the energy high and the smiles wide.
“This is a great opportunity for residents to meet the officers who serve their neighborhoods and enjoy a fun evening together,” said Lt.
