South Carolina man pleads guilty to attempted armed robbery in Little River

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — A South Carolina man was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to an attempted armed robbery in Little River in 2023, the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said.

Travis Bromell, 36, of Columbia, pleaded guilty on Thursday to attempted armed robbery, the solicitor’s office said. Circuit Court Judge Eugene P. Warr Jr. sentenced Bromell to 15 years in prison.

The charge stemmed from an incident on Aug. 20, 2023, when Bromell went into the Phoenix Mart in Little River, pulled out a large knife and demanded money, according to the solicitor’s office.
