Jealous man armed with knife arrested after threatening woman suspected of cheating on him

A Leesburg man was arrested after allegedly holding a woman at knifepoint in her bathroom over cheating allegations.

An officer responded to the Leesburg Police Department, located at 115 E Magnolia St., for a suspicious incident involving 50-year-old Jeremiah Alexander Norris at 10 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the LPD.

The victim advised that while in her residence, Norris came through her front door using a key that she gave him. She knew he took narcotics and only allowed him to sleep at her residence occasionally, the report said.

She was in her bathroom when he approached her and accused her of cheating on him, which he told him was not true. He had a foldable pocketknife in his hand with the blade pointed toward her at the time. She could not flee because he cornered her into the bathtub as he stood in front of her, the report said…
