CALIFORNIA. — A new Assembly Bill aims to eliminate all ultra processed foods in school lunches in the State of California by the year 2032.
The bill officially passed the State Assembly this past month in June, and now awaits consideration from the State Senate. Under AB 1264, the bill would create a list of ultra processed foods and then by 2032 ban them from public schools.
