Staten Island’s Safari Golf returns as Swing N’ Putt; remote-control car track coming soon

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A classic Staten Island amusement has finally reopened after years of planning and renovation. Safari Golf — the iconic concession that was located at the corner of Richmond Avenue and Arthur Kill Road in Greenridge in the 1990s — has been refreshed and rebranded, now operating as Staten Swing N’ Putt.

According to the NYC Parks Department, which owns the property, the batting cages and mini golf portion of the site are currently open for business. A remote-control car track is expected to open in the coming weeks after additional electrical upgrades are completed.

Billing itself as Staten Island’s go-to mini-golf and batting cage hotspot, “perfect for events, birthdays, date nights and family fun,” the venue is attached to Corrado’s Cucina, which opened at 831 Arthur Kill Rd. in 2023.

The concession is the second phase of the expansive privately funded project, which was launched in 2016…
