BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Deputies arrested suspects accused of $9,000 in damages after doing ‘donuts’ at a Denham Springs mall.
An investigation started after Livingston Parish detectives received complaints from Juban Crossing business owners, management and visitors. Sheriff Jason Ard said thousands of dollars in damage was made to a newly resurfaced parking area.
Three suspects were arrested. James Scott, 18, was identified as one of the suspects. He was charged with reckless operation, felony damage to property and aggravated obstruction of commerce. The sheriff’s office didn’t identify the two other suspects but said they were jailed on a reckless operation charge.
“Let this serve as a warning for all. This type of activity is not wanted & won’t be tolerated. We are working closely with those who work & shop in the area,” Ard said…
