Illinois woman sentenced for killing her girlfriend, trying to make it look like she took her own life

KENDALL COUNTY, Ill. (TCN) — A woman will spend three decades behind bars for killing her girlfriend nearly two years ago following an argument.

According to a July 10 news release from the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office, Alexia Telles entered a plea agreement, and a judge sentenced her to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for first-degree murder. She’ll have to serve 100% of the sentence, as well as three years of mandatory supervised release.

In February 2023, Telles reportedly arrived at a home in Oswego with her girlfriend, Annissa Ellen-Williams, who had suffered a traumatic head wound. Medical personnel tried to revive Ellen-Williams, but she was later pronounced deceased…
