Schenectady man pleads guilty to unlawful surveillance

Post officer worker faces two to six years in prison for 2023 crime

ALBANY — A Schenectady man pleaded guilty Wednesday to taking intimate photos and videos of a coworker without her knowledge, the Albany County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Joseph Munafo, 61, pleaded guilty before Judge Roger McDonough to two counts of unlawful surveillance in the second degree.

The victim reported the incidents to Colonie Police on Oct. 24, 2023, after observing Munafo recording her. Munafo turned himself in and was arrested on Jan. 4, 2024…
